Steel Structure Checks: Coating Thickness and Bolt Torque
Steel structure quality checks differ from concrete or soil testing, focusing on two factors critical to the structure's lifespan: the thickness of the anti-corrosion protective coating (DFT), and the torque of the bolts securing structural components. At light factories in Riyadh Industrial City, Al-Zulfi, both indicators were measured and compared against spec, confirming the steel frame was adequately protected against corrosion and every connection was torqued correctly to remain stable under operating loads.
