Why Compaction Testing Follows Every Backfill Stage
Visually leveled backfill isn't enough to confirm it can bear structural loads — under-compacted fill can look fine on the surface while hiding voids that cause later settlement. That's why field density testing is run after every backfill lift on the Al-Mawali Company project, comparing the actual in-situ density against the maximum reference density from lab Proctor testing, confirming the required compaction ratio is met before moving to the next layer or starting the pour.
